SAMMAMISH, Wash. ?- The University of Arizona women’s golf team completed the first day of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational on Monday in a tie for second place, posting a total score of 301 (+13).


Junior Mary Jacobs carded a one-over 73 to tie for fifth after the first round of the tournament.


Sophomore Adriana Zwanck completed the day in a tie for seventh after totaling 74 (+2).


Junior Alison Walshe posted a three-over-par 75 to complete the first round in a tie for 11th. 


Sophomore Amanda Wilson is in a tie for 41st after a first round total of 79 (+7).


Senior Rachel Gavin completed the day in a tie for 68th after shooting an 86 (+14).


Arizona State is leading the 15-team field with a total score of 299 (+11), followed by New Mexico and Arizona in a tie for second.


The tournament continues tomorrow, with second round tee times beginning at 10 a.m.


The tournament is being held at the Sahalee Country Club, which is a par 72, 6,130 yard course.
