2005-06 Season: Joined the Wildcats in the winter of 2006... Was the only freshman qualified to swim at the NCAA Championships for Arizona...  Finished 18th in the 200 free (1:36.58) and 32nd in the 100 free at the NCAA Championships (44.17)... At the 2006 Pac-10 Championships, swam the third leg of the second-place 400 free relay and anchored the third-place 200 free relay... Also finished 10th in the 100 fly (48.29), 14th in the 100 free (44.39) and 17th in the 50 free (20.48)... Placed second in both the 100 free (45.49) and the 200 free (1:39.81) against ASU... Swam the third leg of the second-place 400 medley relay against Texas... Swam the third leg of the second?-place 200 free relay against California... Swam the third leg of the first-place 400 free relay against Stanford.


Prep: Won the 100-meter free (50.87) at the Brazilian age group nationals in 2004 and placed second in the 200-meter free (1:52.80)... Set the Brazilian age group record in the 800-meter free and also a South American age group record in the 200 free.


National/ International Competition: Competed at the 2006 Pan-Pacific Games for Brazil where he finished sixth in the ?'B’ final of the 100-meter free (50.58).


Personal: Born Nicolas Cesar Olivara on Aug. 4, 1987 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil... Son of Silvio C?©sar de Olivara who graduated from Universidade FUMEC... Enjoys playing soccer and the being at the beach... Major is international business.
