Camp Objective

DAN TOBIAS SOCCER CAMPS are designed to teach basic to advanced soccer skills and tactics to players in developing the complete soccer player. Sessions will be designed to aid each individual to reach her potential.  Goalkeepers will also be provided with two daily training sessions and play in full-sided games in the evenings. 


The daily training sessions are both challenging and fun creating a perfect environment for individual development and a continued love of the game. 

All campers must be between the ages of 14-18 or a recent high school graduate. This camp is for female soccer players only.

Camp Description & Location

Training sessions throughout the week will focus on  individual development of basic skills and fundamentals that are essential for player and team success.  Topics to be cover include, but are not limited to:

* Ball skills

* Passing and receiving

* Dribbling

* Finishing

* 1 v 1 defending and attacking

* Small group defending and attacking tactics.


All sessions are held on the campus of Embry-Riddle University in Prescott, Arizona.  Embry-Riddle is located at 3700 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, AZ, 86301.

Special Features
All camp participants will receive a camp T-shirt and ball. Players will also receive an individual evaluation at the conclusion of the camp.

Coaching Staff

The coaches at our camp are some of the finest and most experienced available, all of whom have a vast knowledge of the game and experience working with youth players.  Our coaches include staff and team members of the University of Arizona’s 2004 Pac-10 Women’s Soccer Championship team and 2005 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 team along with other college coaches, Olympic Development coaches, and former University of Arizona players.  Also featured are the Head and Assistant Coaches of Embry Riddle’s Women’s Soccer Program.  All of our coaches are excellent teachers and role models for young soccer players.

Housing & Meals
All camp participants will be housed in dorms on Embry-Riddle University’s campus.  Campers will be housed two to a room and the dorms are set up with three rooms sharing two bathrooms and a common lounge area.  All players will be under constant supervision, with camp coaches and trainers who also reside in the dormitories during the duration of the camp.  Housing will be provided starting Sunday evening and ending Thursday morning.


Three meals will be provided each day, excluding Sunday (dinner only) and Thursday (breakfast only).  Unlimited water and Gatorade will be provided during all training sessions.  Please alert all coaches and trainers to any dietary restrictions or food allergies as meals will be altered accordingly.

Commuter Option
For those players who reside locally, this option allows for participation in the camp, excluding the housing.  Therefore, these players will commute to and from the camp on a daily basis.  The Dan Tobias Soccer Camps, LLC will not provide this transportation.  Commuters will need to meet their groups for the 9:00 AM training session and will conclude their day after their evening matches.  These players will not stay in the dormitories but will be provided with lunch and dinner.

Insurance and Medical Coverage
All players must provide their own medical insurance.  A certified athletic trainer and first aid responders will be on duty at all times throughout the duration of the camp.  Please alert the medical staff of all allergies and any medications that are currently being taken. Please note that Prescott’s elevation is over 5,000 ft. which may affect the physical performance of players not accustomed to the altitude.

Payments and Cancellation
Payment is due in full at time of registration. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be accepted up to one week prior to the start date of the camp. All cancellations prior to the start date are subject to a $50 administrative fee.

Transportation to and from the Prescott Airport will be provided for campers.  Please call Lisa Oyen for more details and to arrange for this transportation.  If you choose to fly into Phoenix ?'s Sky Harbor Airport the Dan Tobias Soccer Camps will not provide transportation to Embry-Riddle’s campus in Prescott, Arizona.  However, there is shuttle service available through Shuttle “U” Prescott from Sky Harbor Airport to the campus of Embry-Riddle University.  For more information on this shuttle service, please contact Shuttle “U” Prescott at 800-304-6114.

Additional Activities
Additional activities will be offered during the free time allotted each day. Swimming will be available at the campus pool for those interested in this activity. Trips to the flight line will also be available to those campers interested in learning more about aeronautical sciences offered at Embry-Riddle University.
