, Ariz. - The final game of the Arizona-Long Beach State baseball series has been cancelled due to rain. The game was scheduled to begin at Noon at Kindall Field/Sancet Stadium.

Heavy overnight rains continued into the morning hours in Tucson with no immediate signs of letting up. University of Arizona officials confirmed the cancellation of the game at approximately 9 a.m. on Sunday.

The visiting 49ers rallied in the final two innings on Friday to steal the first game of the series, 8-7. The Wildcats dropped the second game of the series on Saturday evening, 10-3.

Arizona (3-2) continues its busy early season home schedule with its first mid-week series against UNLV on Tuesday and Wednesday, and then hosts Cal State Fullerton for a three-game set beginning next Friday.
