Arizona Diving Travels to USC

TUCSON, Ariz. -

The Arizona Diving team will embark on its first road trip as it travels to Los Angeles for the USC Diving Invite, beginning Friday, Nov. 4 and continuing through Saturday, Nov. 5.

On Friday, the Invitational will feature men's 3m competition, women's 1m competition and men's and women's platform competition. On Saturday, the men will compete in the 1m and the women will compete in the 3m.

Arizona is one of nine teams competing in the event, including USC, UCLA, BYU, Fresno State, Air Force, California, CSU Bakersfield, UC Santa Barbara and Wisconsin.

Senior Ainsley Oliver (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) leads the women's team with three first-place finishes in two meets so far in the 2011-12 season.

Three other members of the women's team will join Oliver in sophomores Samantha Pickens (Murrysville, Pa.) and Ashley Herrera (La Palma, Calif.) and freshman Izzy Diamond (Tucson, Ariz.).

On the men's side, senior Ben Grado (Conifer, Colo.) has also gotten off to a good start with two first-place finishes in two events.

Joining Grado will be senior Andres Guerra (Sugarland, Texas), sophomore Sean Clark (Phoenix, Ariz.) and freshmen Carter Craft (Houston, Texas) and Josh Bidak (Phoenix, Ariz.).
