Walnut Creek, Calif. (March 26) - Arizona juniors Katie Johnson and Jamie Schell received Pacific-10 Conference Gymnastics All-Academic Team honorable mention accolades, the conference office announced Friday.

The all-academic honorable mention distinctions are the second of the sort for Johnson and Schell, who both earned honorable mentions last season as sophomores. To be eligible for selection to the academic teams, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant substitute.

Johnson, a business administration and marketing student, has tallied five floor titles so far in the season, including a perfect 10 on floor, and 15 top-five finishes. Schell, a physiology major who has been limited to action due to injury, has earned 13 top-five finishes in five meets, and made her first appearance in the Arizona lineup since Jan. 31 at the Pac-10 Championships on March 20.

Arizona will next host the 2004 NCAA Regional Championships on Saturday, April 3 at 6 p.m. (MST) in McKale Center.
