Associate Director of Performance Enhancement

Odom was promoted to the associate director of performance enhancement in January and will work closely with director Corey Edmond in coaching football student-athletes.

 

He joined the staff in July 2005 and assisted with football as well as with other UA sports’ student-athletes strength programs for his first year-plus in Tucson.

 

He began his career as a football graduate assistant at Missouri in January 2005. As a player at Oklahoma, Odom was a redshirt on the 2000 Sooners squad that won the National Championship and Big 12 titles. He won the 2000 Iron Man Award given by strength coaches Jerry Schmidt, Corey Edmond and Mark Hill for performance in the weight room.

He lettered on OU’s 2001 Cotton Bowl champion team, and then was the starting tailback three years (2002-04) at Southeastern Oklahoma State, where he earned All-Lone Star Conference first-team honors and his degree in December 2004.

 

The native of Ada, Okla., and Ada High School graduate, was born July 2, 1981. He was married to the former Mackenzie McCulley on June 12, 2004.
