Head coach Eric Hansen and the No. 9 Arizona Women’s Swimming and Diving teams travel to Seattle, Wash. to kick off the first ever Pac-12 Tournament, beginning Wednesday, Feb. 22 and continuing through Saturday, Feb. 25.
The Wildcats will compete with all nine teams in the conference with swimming programs. Of the nine teams, four are ranked in the top 10 (California 1, USC 7, Stanford 8, Arizona 9) and Arizona State is ranked No. 21.
In the dual meet season, Arizona faced all of the ranked teams in the conference in addition to Oregon State and UCLA, and finished with a 2-3 record in Pac-12 competition.
Senior Alyssa Anderson (Granite Bay, Calif.) leads the Wildcats with top-five times in the country in three events. She ranks third in the 200 free, fourth in the 500 free and fifth in the 200 fly.

In addition, all four of the women’s relay teams rank in the top four, including the 400 medley relay which currently has the fastest time in the country.
In diving competition, sophomore Samantha Pickens (Murrysville, Pa.) has had some of her best performances as of late, posting a school record on the 3m and earning her Pac-12 Diver of the Month honors.
In 2011, the Wildcats finished fifth in the Pac-10 Tournament behind Stanford, California, USC and UCLA.
