TUCSON - The Arizona women's tennis team concluded its dual match season with a loss to No. 14 Arizona State today at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center, 6-1.

In doubles play, Danielle Steinberg and Claire Rietsch were able to take one of the doubles matches, but courts two and three were not able to capture the additional point needed.

Steinberg continued her solid singles play on court one. After taking the first set against ASU's Nadia Abdala 7-6 (4), she quickly gave it back by losing the second set 0-6. But Steinberg hung in there and got the win in a tie breaker, 10-5.

The Cats weren't as fortunate in their other five singles matches as courts two through six went to the rival Devils.

Claire Cox, playing in place of the injured Natalia Toporowska, lost to Australian Ashlee Brown 6-1, 6-0 on court six.

The Cats finished the season winless in conference play. Next week the team will travel to Ojai, Calif. to compete in the Pac-10 Championships. The Ojai tournament is arguably the oldest and most prestigious conference tournament.
