TUCSON--Leneah Manuma hit two home runs for the second consecutive game to help pace No. 3 Arizona to a 8-0 victory over San Jose State in Arizona's Worth Wildcat Invitational softball tournament Friday evening.

Jennie Finch (9-0) won her 49th consecutive decision, one shy of the NCAA record set by Rebecca Aase of Florida State from 1991-93. She struck out eight in the five-inning game and allowed only two singles, by SJSU's Veronica Ramos and Tara Hall.

Base hits by Lovie Jung and Carrie Hagen and a sacrific fly by Leneah Manuma gave the Cats their first run in the top of the first.

UA added three more in the second. A single by Mackenzie Vandergeest and a triple by Jackie Coburn pushed across one run, and an RBI single by Allyson Von Lichtenstein drove in another. Jung walked, and Hagen grounded to second to drive in another run.

Manuma hit her third home run of the day, a line drive to right, to push it to 5-0 in the third, then an out later Vandergeest socked her second homer of the season to make it 6-0 and knock pitcher Carol Forbes out of the game.

Jennie Finch led off the UA fourth with a home run, and Manuma followed with another to deep center to make it 8-0.

Arizona won its 54th consecutive game at Hillenbrand Stadium, extending its school record. San Jose State dropped to 5-7. UA is 14-2.
