Four Cats to Attend 2010 National Team Camp

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Four Wildcats have accepted an invitation to the 2010 USA Softball Women's National Team Selection Camp in Chula Vista, Calif., the Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA) and USA Softball announced today.

Former Cats Jennie Finch, Jenae Leles and Caitlin Lowe, and current junior Brittany Lastrapes will head to Southern California on Jan. 4, 2010 for a camp that runs through Jan. 8.

The UA quartet headlines the list of 31 athletes who will compete for a spot on the 17-member team (plus alternates) that will represent USA Softball during the 2010 season. The schedule of events for the 2010 season will be announced at a later date at usasoftball.com.

Six Wildcats Make ESPN RISE All-Decade Softball Team

Six players with UA ties have made the ESPN RISE All-Decade Softball Team, as recently announced.

Stacie Chambers, Kenzie Fowler, Alicia Hollowell, Kristie Fox, Caitlin Lowe and Taryne Mowatt all made the list, which is based on accomplishments on the high school level, with the USA National Team, in the Women's College World Series, and other criteria.

ESPN RISE celebrates high school athletes and their accomplishments throughout the nation.
