2004-05 Season: Received first team All-American honors in two relay events and one Honorable Mention honor... Anchored the third-place 200 free relay and swam the third leg of the third-place 800 free relay at the NCAA Championships...Also finished 15th in the 200 freestyle... At the Pac-10 Championships, finished 18th in the 50 freestyle... Anchored the first place 200 medley relay against ASU and finished third in the 100 freestyle (46.56)... Swam the second leg of the first-place 400 free relay against SMU and Texas and finished fourth in the 100 freestyle... Swam the third leg of the second-place 400 free relay against Stanford... Anchored the second place 400 free relay against Washington and Northwestern... Against USC, finished third in the 100 freestyle.


 National & International Competition: 2004- Participated in the European Championships in Madrid, Spain.


Prep: Three-time Swedish champion...Finished first at the regional and the state meet his senior year in the 100, 200, and 400 free...Competed with the Malmô Kappsiming Club.


Personal: Born Jonas Lars Persson on Dec. 15, 1983, in Malmô, Sweden... Son of Lars and Ingegerd Persson... Has one younger sister, Lina...Has not yet decided on a major.
