TUCSON - The No. 12 seed Arizona (15-16, 3-15 Pac-12) and the No. 4 seed ASU (19-10, 9-9 Pac-12) will play the second game of the second round of the Pacific Life Pac-12 Basketball Tournament on Thurs., March 8. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. PT/3:15 p.m. MT at USC's Galen Center.

Arizona is 15-16 overall and 3-15 in Pac-12 play on the season. The Wildcats are paced by junior guard Davellyn Whyte's 17.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.6 steals per game. She is backed up by sophomore forward Erica Barnes' 10.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game and 11.8 points from sophomore guard Candice Warthen. Senior guard Shanita Arnold hands out 4.6 assists per game. The Wildcats are shooting 39.1 percent from the field, 35.0 percent from three-point range and 71.5 percent from the free throw line.

ASU is 18-10 overall and 10-8 in Pac-12 play. They earned a bye in the first round of the tournament. The Sun Devils are paced by 9.9 points and 6.4 rebounds per game from senior forward Kimberly Brandon. Senior center Kali Bennett averages 8.3 points and 6.8 rebounds each contest. Arizona State is shooting 39.3 percent from the field, 28.9 percent from three-point range and 66.2 percent from the free throw line.

Arizona and Arizona State will meet for the 83rd time on Thursday and ASU holds a 51-31 advantage over UA. The Sun Devils have won 12 of the last 13 match-ups. ASU swept the regular-season series between the two teams with a 60-45 win in Tempe and a 70-63 win in Tucson.

UA advanced to the second round of play with a 61-57 win over fifth-seeded UCLA. The Wildcats were paced by 18 points from Whyte, 17 points from Warthen, and the inevitable game winner, and 14 points from Arnold. Whyte's line also included five rebounds, five steals and three assists in her 37 minutes of play. Warthen had six rebounds, six assists and one steal in 36 minutes of play. Arnold collected four assists and two steals in 36 minutes of action.

First- and second-round contests of the Pacific Life Pac-12 Tournament will be streamed live on Arizona women's basketball games can be heard live on KTUC AM 1400 in Tucson.
