PALO ALTO, Calif. ?C The Arizona womenˇ?s golf team is currently in seventh place following the second round of the Stanford Fall Intercollegiate in Palo, Alto, California.? The Wildcats carded a 306 (+22) on Saturday to bring their total score to 602 (+34) after 36 holes of play.

Duke remained in the lead after two rounds, carding a 292 (+8) in the second round to maintain a twelve stroke lead over Arizona State.

Dukeˇ?s Amanda Blumenherst also maintained the individual lead after carding a two-over 73 on Saturday.? Blumenherst is two strokes ahead of Stacey Lewis of Arkansas heading into the final round.

For the Wildcats, senior Alison Walshe shot a one-over 72 to move into a tie for ninth place.? The Westford, Mass., native gathered three birdies through the second round to lead the Arizona squad.

Freshman Alejandra Llaneza is tied for 14th place with a score of 147 (+5).? The Mexico City, Mexico, product carded a four-over 75 in the second round.

Junior Adriana Zwanck is currently tied for 38th place with a score of 152 (+10) following two rounds of play.

Senior Mary Jacobs carded an 81 (+10) in the second round to stand in a tie for 56th place.

Sophomore Brittany Benvenuto moved into a tie for 85th place heading into tomorrowˇ?s final round.

The tournament continues tomorrow with a final round tee time scheduled for 7:30 am.
