Day Two Preliminary Results as a .PDF?

TUCSON, Ariz. ?C The University of Arizona still holds a slight lead over Stanford, 74-66, after the day two preliminaries at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool in Long Beach, Calif. The Wildcats will look to build the lead in tonightˇ?s finals.

Qualifying in the 500 yard free championship final tonight for the Cats is Senior Matt Biel. Biel swam a time of 4:23.52 in this morningˇ?s preliminary. David Pursleyˇ?s time of 4:27.93 qualified him to swim in tonightˇ?s A consolation final.

UA qualified three swimmers to swim in the championship final in tonightˇ?s 200 yard IM. The three swimmers are: Darian Townsend (1:46.58), Jack Brown (1:47.60) and Andrew Callahan (1:47.61). Bart Steninger (1:50.15) and Bryan Oˇ?Connor (1:50.48) will be swimming in tonightˇ?s B consolation final.

Senior Albert Subirats is Arizonaˇ?s lone swimmer swimming in tonightˇ?s 50 free championship final. Subirats swam a time of 19.87 in this morningˇ?s prelim. Jordan Smith (20.06), Nicholas Nilo (20.16) and Ivan Barnes (20.22) will all swim in the A consolation final while Jake Tapp (20.29) and Joel Greenshields (20.40) will take part in the B consolation.

Tonightˇ?s finals will begin at 7 p.m. The finals will include the 500 yard free, 200 yard IM, 50 free and the 200 yard free relay that Arizona will also be swimming in.
