The University of Arizona men's tennis squad will send three players to the Aggie Invitational this weekend in Las Cruces, N.M., to open the 2007-08 season.

Coach Tad Berkowitz said freshmen Ravid Hazi and David Humpheys, and senior Nathan Cochrane will compete in the three-day event. All will play in the singles flights as well as Hazi and Humphreys in doubles.

The Aggie Invitational involves 32 different individuals from schools around the country, Berkowitz said. It's among six fall events the Wildcats have scheduled to participate in during the fall season.

The UA may send a player to the Costa Mesa, Calif., Futures tournament Saturday through Monday, Berkowitz said, pending final NCAA paperwork for another freshman. Berkowitz will coach the trio in New Mexico with assistant Tom Lloyd slated for the potential California trip.
