PULLMAN, Wash. ?- The No. 21 Arizona volleyball team easily swept Washington State tonight, winning by the scores of 30-17, 30-19, 30-28. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 16-9 overall and 8-7 in Pacific-10 play.
Arizona combined for a .400 hitting percentage on the night and held the Cougars to just .144. The Wildcats also out-blocked Washington State 9-4 and had 20 more kills (57 to 37) than the Cougars.
Four players reached double figures in kills, led by junior Kim Glass with 14. She also added nine digs. Senior Jolene Killough and junior Bre Ladd added 12 apiece, while sophomore Meghan Cumpston totaled 11. Killough also notched eight blocks, including two solos.
Setter Stephanie Butkus dished out 42 assists, while senior libero Kelli Mulvany had 12 digs on the night.
Arizona travels to Tempe, for a 7 p.m. match against instate rival Arizona State next Friday, Nov. 19.
