SEATTLE-Kim DePaul delivered a two-out, bases-loaded double to score two runs, and Jaime Graves struck out nine in the complete-game shut out to lead the No. 1 Washington to a 2-0 win over second-ranked Arizona on Saturday before 2,013 fans packed into Husky Softball Stadium. The two teams will meet face off again tomorrow at 1 p.m.
Rosie Leutzinger and Kelly Hauxhurst singled in the third inning before DePaul's shot to right center field. UW posted six hits against UA ace Jennie Finch, who suffered her first loss of the season in 22 starts. Graves, who struck out the side to open the game, allowed four hits and improved to 20-3.
