TUCSON, Ariz. -
Arizona Volleyball senior Cursty Jackson (Los Angeles, Calif.) was named to the All-Pac-12 team, the Pac-12 announced on Tuesday.
In addition, senior Courtney Karst (Centennial,Colo.) was named an honorable mention selection, while freshmen Madi Kingdon (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Chloe Mathis (La Jolla,Calif.) were named to the All-Freshman team.
Jackson and Karst have been solid senior leaders all year, leading the Wildcats to a 19-12 season and a .500 Pac-12 conference record at 11-11. Jackson leads the team in hitting percentage at .306 and blocks with 100 (.93 per set) and Karst leads in kills with 345 (3.19 per set) on the season.
Mathis and Kingdon's selection to the All-Freshman team was a sign of the team's success this year and good things to come, as Arizona was the only school to get more than one athlete on the seven-member All-Freshman team.
Mathis took on setting duties for the Wildcats in 2011, posting 933 assists, 164 digs, 50 kills, 13 aces and 30 blocks. Kingdon has recorded 343 kills, 242 digs and has a team-high nine double-doubles.
Arizona will take on Michigan State on Friday, Dec. 2 in Austin, Texas in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
