LOS ANGELESTabi Love and Rachael Kidder had 13 kills apiece to lift No. 6 UCLA (12-3, 4-2 Pac-12) to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 27-25) victory over Arizona (9-8, 1-5 Pac-12) on Sunday afternoon inside the John Wooden Center.

Love hit an incredible .591 with no attack errors, while Kidder hit .333 with five blocks. UCLA hit .333 as a team, while Arizona hit .258.

The Wildcats were led by sophomore Taylor Arizobal (Laguna Niguel, Calif.), who had a match-high 14 kills on .267 hitting. She also added a team-high three blocks. Halli Amaro (Los Alamitos, Calif.) and Madi Kingdon (Phoenix, Ariz.) each had seven kills, while Kingdon finished with a team-high 10 digs.

UCLA took a 5-4 lead in the opening set and Arizona was never able to close the gap. The Bruins used several mini runs to win the set, 25-16. The Bruins hit an efficient .375 in the frame, while Arizona was hurt by seven attack errors and hit just .115.

The Bruins looked as if they were going to cruise in the second set as well after jumping out to a 15-7 lead. Arizona would not go away easily; however, as the Cats went on an 11-4 run to pull within one. That was as close as the Wildcats would get as UCLA won six of the next eight points to take the 25-20 victory. The Wildcats were solid in the set as they hit .387, but the Bruins hit .419.

UCLA reeled off seven consecutive points to open the third set, but the Wildcats battled back to tie the score at 23-23 after a 14-3 run. After both teams traded the next few points, the Bruins broke a 25-25 tie after getting back-to-back kills from Love to clinch the set and the match.

The Wildcats continue their four-match road swing with trips to Utah and Colorado next weekend.
