COLLEGE STATION, Texas - After settling into their hotel and getting acquainted with the pool and facilities over the last few days, the Arizona women are ready to begin their quest to repeat as champions. Tonight the women will take to the Student Rec Center Natatorium on the campus of Texas A&M for one final tune-up.
"Most of the girls are really getting anxious to start racing and competing," said head coach Frank Busch.
Preliminary events begin tomorrow, kicking off at 11 a.m. CST, 9 a.m. Tucson Time. Events taking place Thursday include the 200 free relay, 500 free, 200 individual medley, 50 free, 400 medley relay and the one-meter dive.
Arizona posted the fastest time in the 200 free relay, 400 medley relay and the 50 free, fourth fastest time in the 200 IM and fifth quickest time in the 500 free in the country during its dual meet slate.
Finals will begin Thursday at 7 p.m. CST / 5 p.m. Tucson time.
ESPN will be broadcasting the Women's NCAA Championships on tape-delay basis.
