While the 200 medley relay suffered a disqualification to start off the meet, the 800 free relay team of freshman Leon?? Vorster, senior Whitney Myers, junior Lacey Nymeyer and freshman Jenny Forster finished second with a time of 7:06.11.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>Posting the first Pac-10 title of the meet for the Wildcats was sophomore Lara Jackson in the 50 free. Jackson tied with Cal&rsquo;s sophomore Dana Vollmer with a time of 22.05, which is a new Pac-10 meet record and ties Jackson&rsquo;s own school record as well.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>The 200 free relay team of Jackson, Nymeyer, sophomore Anna Turner and sophomore Lindsey Kelly defended its conference title for the third straight year, winning the race with a meet record-breaking time of 1:26.71.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>In the first event of tonight&rsquo;s finals action, Vorster finished second in the consolation finals (10<SUP>th</SUP> overall) of the 500 free with a time of 4:45.76. </P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN> Myers finished third in the 200 IM, posting the first of five NCAA automatic qualifying times with a time of 1:58.38.
