Addition of KMSB FOX-11 and AZ-TV help to

provide new statewide television network

The Mike Stoops radio and television shows production is now open for Wildcat fans each Tuesday at 12 noon, thanks to the sponsorship support of Jim Click Ford and Holmes Tuttle Ford dealerships.

The weekly show is hosted at the Jim Click Ford showroom (at East 22nd Street and South Wilmost Avenue) through October 10, and is then hosted at Holmes Tuttle Ford (at the Auto Mall, off Oracle) from October 17 through November 28.  There will not be a show on October 31 due to the bye week.

Stoops and host Brian Jeffries will take questions from fans in attendance while live on KCUB-1290 AM, and free hotdogs will be provided by the sponsor for lunch.

The half-hour television show coverage has grown significantly this year with new partnerships with KMSB-FOX 11 in Tucson and AZ-TV which combined reach more than 1.6 million homes statewide.  The first airing of the weekly Stoops TV show will continue to air on Comcast Cable on Wednesday nights, and rebroadcast on Comcast’s ESPN2 channel on Saturday mornings.

Stoops’ show is the only Pac-10 coaches’ show to broadcast nationally on College Sports Television (CSTV).

“We are very pleased with these coaches’ shows upgrades. With the leadership and coverage area of our new partners, through Ron Bergamo at AZ-TV and Tod Smith at FOX 11, more fans than ever have access to the quality show that Sean Mooney produces,” explained Brent A. Seebohm, General Manager for HOST Communications Wildcat Sports Properties. “Thanks to our Ford dealer sponsors, we’re most enthused to again have these live radio shows available to fans on-location.  We are also grateful to Comcast Cable as our loyal broadcast partner.”

On the radio network, in addition to the one-hour show airing weekly on the Tucson flagship KCUB-1290 AM and Phoenix affiliate KKNT-960 AM, the Stoops radio show will also now be aired on a taped-delay basis weekly by KNOT-1450 AM in Prescott, KDAP-96.5 FM in Douglas, KVWM-970 AM in the White Mountains, KIKO-1340 AM in Globe, and KWRQ-102.3 FM in Safford.

“This greater exposure can play a factor in our recruiting efforts throughout the state, and hopefully excites more Wildcat fans to join us at Arizona Stadium on Saturdays,” Head Coach Mike Stoops remarked.  “I encourage our fans to come support the shows at the dealership over the lunch hour on Tuesdays, it is a very nice setting.”
