TUCSON, Ariz. -- Arizona women's basketball assistant coach Shimmy Gray will conduct an adult "chalk talk" session for fans and supporters from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 8. The clinic is $20 per person.
Gray will breakdown the basics of the game, teaching participants the ins and outs of the game of basketball. The knowledge she will provide will educate even the most basketball savvy, while giving supporters a closer view of the Arizona women's basketball program.
"My main goal is for fans to learn to think like a coach or player," Gray says.
During the evening, participants will receive dinner while viewing an official practice. They will then receive an exclusive tour of McKale Memorial Center, including the Eddie Lynch Pavilion, Jim Click Hall of Champions and the newly-refurbished women's basketball locker room. Gray will then begin a seminar with a short presentation, instructional meeting, and question and answer session.
Not only is this a great opportunity to enhance your knowledge of basketball, but it is a wonderful way to get to know Gray, one of the most enthusiastic members of the Arizona coaching staff.
