TUCSON, Ariz. - The 2008 battle for the Territorial Cup between Arizona and Arizona State will kickoff at 6 p.m. (MST) at Arizona Stadium on Saturday, December 6. The game will be shown live on national television by either ESPN or ESPN2, and will also be shown live on Fox Sports Arizona in the state of Arizona.

This year will mark the second consecutive season that an ESPN platform has televised the Arizona-Arizona State game. Arizona State defeated the Wildcats 20-17 in Tempe, Ariz., a season ago in a game that was televised nationally by ESPN 2. The platform (ESPN or ESPN2) for this season's game must be determined at least six days in advance of the game.

The 2008 clash between the Wildcats and Sun Devils will be the 82nd in a series that dates back to 1899. Arizona holds a 44-36-1 edge all-time, but the Sun Devils have won the Big Game - the traditional name for the rivalry - three straight times.

The annual Arizona-Arizona State winner obtains possession of the Territorial Cup which is recognized by the NCAA as the oldest rivalry game trophy in America.

Arizona hosts No. 21 Oregon State at Arizona Stadium this Saturday, Nov. 22. The game will be shown live in a national cablecast by Versus.
