The Arizona women's tennis team defeated Cal State Northridge 7-0 on Saturday.

In singles, junior Ariane Masschelein came back from a first set loss to defeat Evgeniya Vertsheva 3-6, 6-1, 10-8 in the No. 1 spot.

Also, freshman Natasha Marks defeated Nigora Sirojiddinova 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 2 spot.

Arizona won both their doubles matches, and had a default win in the third. Marks and partner, junior Claire Rietsch defeated Vertsheva and Sirojiddinova N 8-4, and senior Danielle Steinberg and partner, sophomore Jane Huh, defeated Whitney Pulach and Amira Massi 8-1.

"Today was a good day for us," said assistant coach Ryan Stotland. "Everyone played hard, and it was a great match to win. I'm proud of how it all turned out. We will be ready for our big match tomorrow against Arizona State.

The Wildcats will take on their conference rivals, Arizona State, tomorrow at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center at 1 p.m.
