Women's Tennis Completes Sweep of San Diego Schools

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The No. 52 University of Arizona women's tennis won its second straight over a ranked oppenent with its 4-3 win over No. 58 San Diego. With the win the Wildcats improve to 3-3 on the season. The loss drops the Toreros to 2-4. Arizona took the doubles point and three singles matches to get the win.

In doubles, Arizona claimed victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. On court three, Juliette Mavroleon and Katie Orletsky got a win over Justine Perl and Helene Lindstrand, 8-6. Danielle Steinberg and Camelia Todorova defeated Zoe Taylor and Alexandra Demidova, 8-6, to claim Arizona's first point.

In singles, Mavroleon, Todorova and Orletsky were all able to get victories to secure the win for the Wildcats. Todorova and Orletsky were able to take their respective matches in straight sets while Mavroleon pulled out the win in the third set.

Arizona will return home next weekend to kick off Pac-10 play against the Washington schools. The Wildcats will face Washington State at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16. Arizona will take on the Washington at noon on Saturday, Feb. 17.
