TUCSON, Ariz. -University of Arizona Wildcat men's golf team improved to sixth place on Tuesday at the Gifford Collegiate in San Martin, Calif. after shooting a 369 (+14).
The Wildcats, who have are 29 shots away from par, are two shots behind Washington, who shot a 367 (+12), and a 726 for the event.
Southern California sits at the top of the leader board shooting a 352 (-3) for the day, and a 697 for the first two days of the tournament. The Trojans are nine shots ahead of second-place UCLA (+6), and twelve shots ahead for the combined days.
Junior Trent Redferncontinues to lead the Wildcats, shooting a 68 (-3) on the day. Redfern's two-day 138 total puts him in fourth place behind UCLA's Patrick Cantlay and USC's Steve Lim, who are tied for second place at 133.
The third and final round of the Gifford Collegiate, contested at the CordeValle Golf Club in San Martin, Calif. will be held on Wednesday, November 2.
