FULLERTON, Calif. -- Brittany Lastrapes hit a two-out infield single in the bottom of the seventh to score pinch-runner Victoria Kemp as second-ranked Arizona walked off with a 4-3 come-from-behind victory over No. 11 Oklahoma on Friday.
Lastrapes took the 2-1 pitch back to OU pitcher Keilani Ricketts (14-5) on a high bounce and beat out the throw, plating Kemp and giving Arizona the walk-off win. For Lastrapes, it was her second walk-off hit of the season.
Baillie Kirker was hit by a pitch to lead off the final frame and two sacrifice bunts moved pinch-runner Kemp to third.
Kemp's run was the only earned run of the day charged to either pitcher in a game that was plagued by five gaffes.
UA (24-2), held scoreless for a season-high 12.2 consecutive innings, broke through for a trio of their own in the fifth. Chambers doubled after K'Lee Arredondo reached on an error, Lini Koria drew a one-out walk, then Kirker was plunked to drive in Arizona's first run. Pinch runner Becca Tikey scored on a low throw to the plate on Kristen Arriola's hard grounder, then Matte Haack hit a sac fly to score Koria.
Kenzie Fowler (16-1) went the distance, striking out 12 while allowing two hits and four walks. Ricketts gave up seven hits and seven walks, but struck out eight Wildcats.
Arizona plays New Mexico at 6 p.m. Saturday.
