OJAI, Calif. - The Wildcats completed the third day of the four day Pac-10 Championships in Ojai, Calif. Juniors Dianne Hollands and Maja Mlakar lost in their doubles semifinal match. Hollands also lost her singles semifinal match.
After being the only Wildcat left in singles play after Thursday's action, No. 14 ranked Hollands was unable to come up with another win against No. 3 ranked Raquel Kops-Jones of California. Hollands fell in the main pac-10 flight semifinals in two sets, 6-4, 6-4.
In the main flight of Pac-10 doubles competition, the No. 8 ranked team of Hollands and Mlakar fell to Stanford's team of Alice Barnes and Erin Burdette.
Arizona was one of only four teams to have representation in the semifinals of the main Pac-10 competition. With junior Dianne Hollands competing in the semifinals of both singles and doubles, she also made Arizona only one of three schools to have participants in the semifinals of both doubles and singles competition.
The Wildcats have completed the regular season, and Pac-10 competition. Arizona will now await the draws for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Championships. The draws will be announced May 5, on ESPN News at 3:00 p.m.
