SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Due to rain, the ITA Regional tournament was cut short.

In singles quarterfinals Kim Stubbe lost to Lao from the University of Southern California. Lacey Smyth won both of her matches in singles consolation, the first to Wais from San Diego State University and the second to Van den Bergh from the University of Hawaii. Jane Huh and Susan Mc Rann teamed up to win two matches in doubles consolation, the first against La Porte and Radinovic from Loyola Marymount University and the second against Meehan and Damion from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

"It's been a rainy week so we've had a lot of delays. The tournament was cut short because of this," said head coach Vicky Maes. "Fortunately, we did get a few good matches in today. Kim played a tough round of singles but ran out of juice in the end. Lacey went undefeated in two solid matches, and Susan and Jane also won their two doubles. Overall, a great week for the Cats!"

Next weekend the Cats head to New Mexico for the New Mexico Invitational.
