TUCSON, Ariz. - Arizona sophomore Lindsay Blau upset Washington's No. 1-ranked player in the country, Kristina Kraszewski, 6-3, 6-3, in helping lead the Wildcats to a 7-2 victory over the Huskies at the Robson Tennis Center Saturday. With the victory, UA continued their perfect 17-0 all-time record against the Huskies.

In other singles action, UA senior Vanessa Abel bested UW's Ilona Kordonskaya, 6-3, 6-7, 6-3, in a three hour-plus match. Arizona junior Michelle Gough and freshman Uzma Khan logged victories at the three and four positions respectively.

The Huskies accounted for their two points of the match with singles victories at the five and six positions. Colleen Gray downed Arizona sophomore Laresa Marino, 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 5 position and at the No. 6 spot Zeta Wagner defeated UA junior Joanna Buczkowska, 6-1, 6-2.

In doubles play, the Wildcats swept al three matches including an upset win for Abel and Gough over the 43rd-ranked doubles team of Kraszewski and Darija Klaic, 8-4.

Arizona returns to action next weekend when it travels up to the Bay Area to take on top-ranked Stanford on Friday, April 14, at 1:30 PDT and sixth-ranked California on Saturday, April 15, at noon PDT.
