North Central Regional Rotation Order?

?

Tucson , Ariz. ?C The No. 14 Arizona gymnastics team will make its 22nd-consecutive postseason appearance when the Wildcats compete in the NCAA North Central Regional on Saturday, April 12 at 6 p.m. (CST) in Minneapolis.? Arizona will match up against No. 2 Utah, No. 11 Arkansas, No. 23 Iowa, Southern Utah and host Minnesota.

Six teams, five all-around competitors (who are not on a qualifying team) and one individual event specialist per event were named to each of the six regions.

?

The top two teams and the top two all-around competitors (who are not on an advancing team) from each regional will receive an automatic berth to the national championships in Athens, Ga., April 24-26, hosted by the University of Georgia.

?

In addition, the event winners at the regional championships will advance to the national championships (in that event only) if they are not part of a qualifying team or the all-around qualifiers.

?

Arizona will begin the regional meet on vault followed with a bye before bars and will have a bye before finishing on floor.? Last season, the Wildcats?finished third in the South Central Regional Championships in McKale Center behind Stanford and Oregon State, missing out on a trip to the NCAA Championships by 0.050 points.

?

The Wildcats last qualified for the NCAA Championships in 2002, advancing out of West Regional held in Tempe, Ariz.

?

Last week, Arizona placed fourth at the Pac-10 Championships with a score of 195.725.

The six regional fields and sites are as follows:

Southeast Region (Gainesville, Fla., host Florida) - No. 3 Florida, No. 9 UCLA, No. 15 Nebraska, No. 21 North Carolina State, No. 25 West Virginia, North Carolina

Northeast Region (University Park, Pa., host Penn State) - No. 1 Georgia, No. 12 Auburn, No. 13 Denver, No. 22 Penn State, BYU, Iowa State

North Central Region (Minneapolis, Minn., host Minnesota) - No. 2 Utah, No. 11 Arkansas, No. 14 Arizona, No. 23 Iowa, Southern Utah, Minnesota

South Central Region (Norman, Okla., host Oklahoma) - No. 4 Alabama, No. 10 Oklahoma, No. 16 Boise State, No. 19 Arizona State, No. 24 Illinois, Southeast Missouri State

West Region (Corvallis, Ore., host Oregon State) - No. 5 Michigan, No. 8 Oregon State, No. 17 Michigan State, Washington, San Jose State, Sacramento State
