No. 28 Wildcats Host No. 29 Hornets

TUCSON - The 28th-ranked Arizona Wildcat women's tennis team is back in action as they host another ITA Top-30 team at LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.

The Wildcats (12-2, 2-0 Pac-10) will host the 29th-ranked Sacramento State Hornets (6-2) on Mon., March 14, at 11 a.m. MT.

Last weekend, the Cats opened Pac-10 play against Oregon and No. 71 Washington State. The team defeated both Pac-10 foes to start the season at 2-0 in conference play. Despite winning both matches 6-1, the Wildcats fell two spots in the rankings, from No. 26 to No. 28.

Arizona's ranked singles player, No. 99 Natasha Marks, won both of her matches to improve to 11-3 in dual match play. Marks and doubles partner Sarah Landsman won both matches in the No.1 slot of doubles play. The No. 67-ranked duo improved their record to 12-1 this season.

Last weekend, the Hornets fell, 6-1, to No. 4 Cal. The Hornets dropped the doubles point, losing all three matches. Sacramento's only win of the day came on court six in singles play.

The Wildcats are set to play the Hornets on Monday at 11 a.m., at LaNelle Robson Tennis Center in Tucson, Ariz.
