LAFAYETTE, La. -- Poor field conditions in right field as a result of rain
water that had collected from rain showers earlier in the day forced the
cancellation of Saturday's scheduled game between No. 11 Louisiana's
Ragin' Cajuns softball team and No. 2 Arizona at Ragin' Cajuns
Softball Park.

The field was deemed unplayable as the playing surface was slippery and
a light drizzle was falling minutes before the game was to start.

The game - to be the second of a three-game weekend series - will not be
rescheduled.

The two teams will conclude their weekend series on Sunday, March 27 in an
11 a.m. single game.

Arizona (25-2) holds a 1-0 lead in the series after a 2-0 win on Friday
behind a one-hit shutout from Alicia Hollowell.
