Women's Tennis Players Fall at ITA All-American Tournament

LOS ANGELES - Arizona sophomore Perrine Pernin and freshman Maja Mlakar suffered opening round defeats in the prequalifying singles bracket Saturday at the ITA All-American Tournament.

Mlakar dropped a straight sets decision to Pennsylvania's Alice Pirsu, 6-4, 6-3. Nevada's Biljana Trpeska outlasted Pernin, 6-4, 3-6, 6-1.

UA sophomore Debbie Larocque will be competing in the qualifying singles and doubles brackets at the tournament beginning Oct. 9. Larocque will pair with Laresa Marino in doubles play.
