UAˇ?s Stacie Chambers responded in next inning by smoking her eighth homerun, on an 0-2 pitch, to dead center to bring the Cats (21-8) within one.

?

From then on, Hiner and Lindsey Sisk (10-2) battled hard and allowed only three total base runners for the remainder of the game. Jenae Leles doubled in the sixth inning with two outs and was replaced by pinch-runner Danielle Rodriguez, but Chambers struck out to end the threat.

?

Holguin had half of the total offensive output for the Titans with two base hits and a triple.

?

Sisk gave up six hits and struck out three in the loss.
