TUCSON -After day two of the Mason Rudolph Fall Preview, the University of Arizona Wildcat women's golf team sits in 14th place in the team race. Held at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn., competition will take place Fri.-Sun., Sept. 23-25. Vanderbilt Legends Club North Course is a par-72, 6,451-yard setup.
The Wildcats have scores of 298 and 308 for a two-round total of 606 (+30). UCLA leads the team race with a 579 (+3), Alabama sits in second with a 585 (+9) and North Carolina rounds out the top three with a 588 (+12). Jennifer Kirby of Alabama leads the individual race with rounds of 72 and 66 for a carding of 138 (-6).
"Today was not our best day," head coach Laura Ianello said. "Everyone except for Margarita (Ramos) struggled. We need to shoot well tomorrow to fight for a top-10 finish. I know my seniors, Nikki Koller and Isabelle Boineau, will come back strong with good rounds."
Senior Margarita Ramos continues to lead the Wildcats in a tie for 15th place after two round of play. She has scores of 72 and 74 for a total of 146 (+2). Seniors Isabelle Boineau and Nikki Koller share a tie for 45th place with two-round scores of 152 (+8). Freshman Andrea Vilarasau is tied for 70th with scores of 77 and 79 for a total of 156 (+12). Sophomore Haley Andreas rounds out the Arizona five in a tied for 85th place. She carded rounds of 80 and 81 (161, +17).
