TUCSON - Each week, Arizona football head coach Rich Rodriguez and his staff will select Player of the Week honorees based on performance leading up to and including the game each week. The Wildcats fell to Oregon State, 38-35, Saturday night at Arizona Stadium.

Offense: Ka'Deem Carey, Sophomore, Running Back

In Saturday's 38-35 loss to then-No. 18 Oregon State, Carey racked up 115 yards on the ground and 68 yards in the air. He had two rushing touchdowns while averaging 6.8 yards per carry and a long catch of 47 yards. Saturday's game marked Carey's third of the season collecting over 100 rushing yards.

He ranks No. 3 in the Pac-12 and tied for No. 17 in the NCAA is rushing yards per game with an average of 107.6. Carey's 9.6 points per game also rank tied for No. 3 in the Pac-12 and tied for No. 25 in the NCAA.

Defense: None

Special Teams: Kyle Dugandzic, Senior, Punter

Dugandzic recorded five punts for a total of 234 yards with a long of 70 in Saturday's 38-35 loss to Oregon State. He averaged 46.8 yards per punt and landed four inside the 20-yard line. He also served as the holder on all five of kicker John Bonano's made PATs. His punting average of 44.89 yards per kick ranks No. 3 in the Pac-12 and No. 18 in the NCAA.

His long of 70 came at a crucial moment in the game with OSU leading UA, 24-21, late in the third quarter and pinned the Beavers on their own five-yard line. On the next drive, Oregon State gave up a fumble that was recovered by an Arizona defender.

From the scout team, freshman offensive lineman T.D. Gross on offense, freshman linebacker Keoni Bush-Loo on defense and junior running back Terris Jones on special teams were also honored for their efforts during the Oregon State preparations.

Arizona football will travel to take on No. 18 Stanford on Sat., Oct. 6 at Stanford Stadium. The game is scheduled to air on Fox at 12 p.m. PT.
