Arizona Head Coach Sean Miller
"I have to give credit to our guys. Sometimes this is a tough situation, because as a team, there is no one who doesn't want a Pac-10 Championship. At the beginning of the game, we missed the first nine or ten three-point attempts. Part of that comes from feeling so pressured to get the win, that we made things harder on ourselves. Oregon State is a hard team to beat, and when we pressure ourselves like we did tonight, it puts us in a tough situation. Oregon State played hard, as usual, and I have to give them a lot of credit."
"We have clinched at least a share of the conference championship, and I'm very proud of our guys."
"Kyle Fogg has been really engaged in pressuring the ball better. We are not a big team, but we are quick, and pressuring the ball on defense and using our quickness is key. I think some of Oregon State's turnovers were caused because our guys were committed to pressuring the ball, Kyle included. He had six assists and one turnover, which is a great ratio, especially against a team that uses the trap defense. Jordin Maes, Momo Jones, and Kyle all did great tonight at keeping things simple. When we didn't, we played right into the hands of Oregon State."
"Kevin Parrom was very instrumental tonight, and Solomon Hill had a good game. Coming out of LA, there were a number of guys, Solomon included, who struggled. Last week wasn't his best effort, but he worked hard through the past three or four days, and he made some big plays for us tonight."
"I can't thank the crowd enough. Even back in December, people thought there was something wrong, but I didn't think they had a problem. The Zona Zoo is really it. I don't think we could find a better group of students to support us."
"The opportunity to play for the outright championship on Saturday is very exciting. We just have to make sure we don't make the game any bigger than it is. We just have to do what we know to do to be successful."
Arizona Player Quotes
On what Coach Miller said during timeouts:
"You guys saw what we heard, `finish the game and don't be so sloppy.' We tried and we tried and we know right when we get out of Pac-10 we have to be better. We got the W, but we have to clean it up."
On the last two weeks:
"I'd say we all came together and had a common goal to go undefeated at home and win a Pac-10 title. We went to UCLA and USC and we didn't give it our all. Today, we played really hard. It wasn't pretty, but we fought through it."
On the possibility of cutting down the nets on Saturday:
"I think for anyone that's a dream come true. A lot of people would love to trade spots with us. I love where I'm at right now. I don't think it has hit us yet. We don't want to look ahead, that's the worst thing you can do. Just have to go out Saturday and give it our all."
On his last home game on Saturday:
"It's the same as everyone, there's no pressure on our team or me. We will take a victory any way we can."
