TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona Softball team outscored Dayton and No. 10 Texas 26-0 Saturday at the Fiesta Bowl Tournament hosted by ASU. The Wildcats stretched their undefeated streak to nine games with a 19-0, five-inning win over Dayton and a 7-0 complete game shutout over the Longhorns.

Sophomore pitcher Leslie Wolfe threw her first career no-hitter against Dayton, striking out six of the 16 batters she faced. The Wildcat offense dominated the Flyers in the game, knocking six home runs in five innings, including a first-inning grand slam by junior Jackie Coburn. Coburn went two-for-two in the game, with two home runs, two runs and 6 RBIs.

Freshman Cortney Nix hit a pinch-hit homer in the top of the fourth inning in only her second at-bat in a Wildcat uniform. Also homering for the Cats were freshman Caitlin Lowe, junior Candace Abrams and senior Wendy Allen.

In the second game versus No. 10 Texas, sophomore pitcher Alicia Hollowell nearly threw her first no-hitter of the year. Hollowell gave up one hit in the top of the seventh, a bunt single to third by Texas shortstop Amber Hall. Hollowell ended the game with her ERA still at 0.00 and struck out 15 batters, bumping her total season strikeouts to 71.

Offensively for the Cats, sophomore Shelly Schultz hit her fourth homer of the year, a solo shot to start off Arizona's half of the third. Schultz went two-for-four in the game, improving her season average to .478.

The Cats will finish out the Fiesta Bowl tournament Sunday at the Rose Mofford Sports Complex in Tempe when they take on Nevada at 10:30 a.m. and Western Michigan at 12:30 p.m.
