FORT HUACHUCA, Ariz. - The Arizona football team resumed its preseason training camp as it completed the first of two practices slated for today here at the scenic U.S. Army post in the southeast corner of the state.

The Wildcats hit the Eifler Sports Complex practices fields at 7:30 a.m. for a two-hour practice, which was much to the delight of dozens of U.S. Army soldiers and personnel who got to watch from the sidelines. The team will be back to work to complete its first two-a-day at 6:15 p.m. this evening.

Head Coach Mike Stoops was again pleased with his team's work and complimented players on their effort after a sluggish start to practice. The players donned full pads and wore their blue helmets for the first time in camp.

After practice, some players met with local media members and signed autographs for fans in attendance. During practice, players spent time chatting with the present soldiers, and tonight's workout will provide more of the same.
