Hey Wildcat Fans! First off, let me apologize for my VERY long absence from writing. Season just keeps moving along, and class is offering no breaks (I guess that is what happens when you reach Senior Year). So as I try to settle into the busiest semester of my life I am trying to find the best time to write, so from now on hopefully I can be more consistent.
Anywho, I am actually sitting in my hotel room in Las Cruces, New Mexico, as are the rest of the girls, preparing to take on the Aggies of New Mexico State in about 2 hours. It should be a good match! As you all know Pac-10 is officially underway! After finishing 10-2 in the preseason we are now 11-4, after 2 weeks of conference play. Let me tell you it is going to be a fun season in the Pac-10. With all the teams so close in skill, the competition is going to be relentless; but that is exactly what you hope for!
Like I said, school is moving forward, and all the girls are working hard on the court and in the classroom. One of the most difficult aspects of being a student-athlete is keeping up with schoolwork and not falling behind. As the traveling picks up, this becomes more and more difficult, but so far everyone has been doing a great job focusing on their tasks at hand. Sometimes that's all we can do is take one thing at a time!
Next weekend we head to the Oregon schools! Our first Pac-10 road trip! It's always fun going north during this time of year, especially as the weather and leaves on the trees start to change. We will be practicing hard this week to improve our standing in the conference... but don't let me get ahead of what is to come first! Its about time to head to the gym to take on these Aggies... wish us luck! Bear Down Arizona!
With that, this is #34 signing off!
