For the third straight year, the University of Arizona women's basketball staff will be conducting a day-long coaches clinic on Saturday, Nov. 1, beginning at 7:30 a.m. in the McKale Center. The clinic is open to basketball coaches from all levels of competition.
UA head women's basketball coach Joan Bonvicini and two of her assistants, Kellee Barney and Shimmy Gray, will be joined by UA men's basketball assistant coach Rodney Tention and Phoenix St. Mary's HS head coach Frank Denogean as instructors for the clinic. Topics will include offensive and defensive drills, practice drills, rebounding drills, and pressure defense.
Clinic attendees will also be permitted to observe the Wildcat women's basketball team's practice that afternoon. The cost of the clinic is $35 per person for registrations received before Oct. 31, and $45 per person for registration at the door. Lunch is included in the price of registration.
