TUCSON -- An overtime goal by KARINA CAMACHO was the only tally in the Arizona Wildcats’ 1-0 victory over the Michigan Wolverines at Mulcahy Stadium on Friday night.

With the victory, Arizona improves their record to 5-2 on the season, matching Michigan’s mark.

"Patience turned into frustration," said Head Coach Dan Tobias, "and we found a way to score."

Camacho's goal came off a pretty feed from LEILA AMINI. From 30 yards out on the right side, Amini floated a ball far post that Camacho headed in past Wolverine goalkeeper Madison Gates sealing the victory for the Cats, five and half minutes into the first overtime.

"It was a team effort," said Camacho after the game, "the back line did a really great job."

Part of that backline is senior defender Savanah Levake.  "The win is all that matters," said Levake, who made several notable stops in route to the Wildcats' fifth season victory.

Arizona remains undefeated at home and has yet to be scored on in the first half.  The team looks to continue both of these streaks in Sunday's game against Cal State Northridge, 1 p.m. at Murphey Field.

Notes:

Head Coach Dan Tobias picked up his 50th win last Friday against the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the Wildcats' 2-1 victory.
