TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona football team will open its 2011 season against Northern Arizona on Saturday, Sept. 3, at Arizona Stadium. Kickoff has been set for 7 p.m.

The game will be broadcast live on FOX Sports Arizona across the state and on KWBA-TV in Tucson. KGUN-TV in Tucson will replay the game on Sept. 3 beginning at 10:35 p.m.

For the third-straight season, Arizona's institutional telecast crew will include Dave Sitton and John Fina calling the action live. Glenn Howell will again serve as the sideline analyst.

The television distribution for the season opener means that Arizona's first four games are guaranteed to be televised. The Wildcats will appear on the ESPN family of networks in each of their next three games, including at Oklahoma State (Sept. 8), and at home against Stanford (Sept. 17) and Oregon (Sept. 24).

Each of the opponents in the series of nationally televised games on ESPN were ranked in the Preseason USA Today Coaches' Poll released on Thursday. The Cowboys were tabbed No. 8, while the Ducks (No. 3) and Cardinal (No. 6) were slated in the top six spots. Arizona was not ranked, but received 28 points in the vote, seven slots shy of the Top 25.

Arizona has one other game currently scheduled for television. The UA-UCLA game in October is set for a Thursday night ESPN broadcast at Arizona Stadium. Kickoff for the Wildcats and Bruins showdown will be at 6 p.m.

The remaining slate of games this year will be in the mix for 12 and six-day selection by Pac-12 television partners. If not chosen by the league partners, institutional broadcasts by either Arizona or host schools may also be an option throughout the year.

Every Arizona football game has been televised over the last two seasons. A total of 13 Wildcat football contests have aired on the ESPN family of networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ABC) over the last two seasons, with four already set in 2011.
