TUCSON--The wait is over for Arizona's football program and its fans, with the Wildcats set to open a promising season tonight (Saturday, Sept. 2) at home here in Arizona Stadium in a nationally televised (TBS) game against Brigham Young.

Kickoff before a capacity crowd is set for 7:23 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. The game will be broadcast live on the raido by Host Communications and Wildcat Sports Properties with Brian Jeffries and Lamont Lovett describing play, with KCUB 1290 AM in Tucson as the flagship station for the statewide network. That account of the contest is available worldwide, online for All Access subscription holders.

Fans attending -- a sellout crowd of 56,000 plus -- need to remember a few rules:

  • Only sealed, small plastic water containers are permitted.
  • No large bags or backpacks may be brought into the stadium
  • All ticket holders’ personal items are subject to search


Webcast Available Following Game

Subscribers to All Access from can watch a delayed broadcast of the Arizona-BYU football game on a delay basis beginning at midnight Saturday.

Arizona Athletics' premium online multimedia service will offer the game on-demand in its entirety beginning at midnight. Fans will be able to watch the official Catvision production shown on the video screens at Arizona Stadium, with Brian Jeffries ("The Voice of the Wildcats") and Lamont Lovett calling the action.

The game kicks off at 7:15 p.m. (MST), and will be broadcast live nationally by TBS. The webcast will remain available online through for on-demand viewing at subscribers' convenience. All-Access subscribers can listen to live audio broadcasts of all Wildcat football games through the official site for Arizona Athletics. Free statistics sponsored by Tucson Electric Power are also available online for all home games, with links to live statistics on the road.

Due to Pac-10 television contract restrictions, Arizona Athletics is unable to offer live video webcasts. Delayed webcast availability for remaining Arizona home games will be made on a game-by-game basis.
