Junior (2005-06):  Won the Arizona Golf Association’s Western Amateur, marking the third straight season in which a Wildcat golfer has won the event ... Lost his first round match at the 2006 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship in Bremerton, Wash., 5 and 4 to Zach Byrd of Calabash, N.C., after tying for 52nd place during stroke play with a five-over 149 total ... Carded a 74.67 stroke average in 12 rounds played ... Made two appearances with the UA varsity, but was a combined 28-over in those six rounds ... Two of his rounds were at par or better with a low of 70 ... Collected his best finish (T43) and low tournament total (216/+6) after carding a 75-70-71, April 10-11, at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic ... Tied for 58th place with a 71-78-74=223 (+7), March 26-28, at the National Invitational Tournament ... Withdrew from the PING-Arizona Intercollegiate in the first round ... Tallied a 12-over 225 at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate to tie for 56th place ... Made his collegiate debut with a 16-over 232 to tie for 85th place at the William H. Junior College:  Played two seasons at Scottsdale Community College in Scottsdale, Ariz. ... Two-time conference player of the year (ACCAC) after posting a 69.1 stroke average as a freshman in 2003-04 and 69.7 as a sophomore in 2004-05 ... Posted four victories in 12 career junior college events and finished in the top six 11 times ... A 2004 NJCAA All-American who finished second at regionals that season ... Won the 2004 Tucson City Amateur championship with a 67-68-67-68=270 (-16) ... Finished as the runner-up in the 2005 Tucson City Amateur ... Shot a course-record 66 in the first round of the 2004 Arizona Amateur at Forest Highlands Meadows course ... Ranked No. 49 in the Arizona Daily Star’s 2004 listing of Southern Arizona’s top 100 sports figures.

 

High School:  Attended Sabino High School and was a four-year letterwinner for coach Scott Laux ... Earned Garnered all-region honors as a freshman.
