LOS ANGELES- The Arizona baseball team salvaged the final game of it three-game series with 23rd-ranked USC, out-slugging the Trojans 15-12 at Dedeaux Field on Sunday. The victory improves Arizona's record to 28-19 for the season and 6-9 in the Pac-10. The loss drops USC to 28-17 overall and 11-4 in the Pac-10.

The offensive effort for Arizona was evenly distributed as all nine Wildcats starters on offense had a least hit and one run in the game. UA scored at least one run in seven of the nine times they came to bat in the game.

Leading the way individually for Arizona was sophomore Marc Kaiser who finished the game 3 for 4 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Sophomore Brian Anderson hit his career-high fifth home run of the season in the ninth en route to a 2 for 4, two RBI and three run game.

Reliever Tony Sulser evened his record at 2-2 with 3.1 innings of relief. The right-hander struck out three and walked one in relief of starter Joe Little. Senior Wes Zlotoff pitched a perfect ninth inning for his second save of the season.

The Wildcats will take a week off for final exams before returning to action May 10-12 in a three-game series against UCLA at Frank Sancet Field.
