"We really came out strong today," said head coach Vicky Maes. "The first match with new comers is always wait and see but they played well. The girls are really executing what we are working on in practice and their improvement showed today. We had to improvise a bit in doubles since Kim is hurt but Debora and Lacey worked well together. All of the girls came out strong in singles, it was a great day for us as a team."
The Cats play next in Tucson as they take on the UTEP Miners on Sunday, January 23.
